This year, as is traditional the Old Lyonians will challenge four teams of the best and most enthusiastic cricketers of John Lyon. The matches will be played on the top quality cricket squares at the School's sports ground, Sudbury Hill, the 25 acre playing fields just moments from the School.

The cricket matches of Association Day have been played since the early 1900’s and have a fine history of competition whilst strengthening the ties between the Old Lyonians and current pupils. As always the matches are good natured but often lively after all there is honour to play for!

Tennis which has always been part of the history of the Old Lyonians and the School is now on the programme with the second 140th Anniversary Tennis Tournament, to be played on the new Astro. The tournament is open to Old Lyonians and pupils and families, the competition will include singles, mixed doubles, parent/pupil doubles and OL v parents.

For the spectators young and old there will be plenty to enjoy from Wimbledon Cream Teas, Family Fun Zone to a well-stocked bar and Pimms Tent.

Cricket matches will start at 1.00pm and Tennis at 1.30pm with registration from 12.30pm. Male and female changing facilities will be available.

To complete the day there will be a BBQ and presentations at The Lyonian Pavilion, the home of the Old Lyonian Sports Club.
